Dozer is my 2nd favorite word

Alexandra loves her dog Dozer so much. Hopefully now that she is learning to play with Dozer without pulling his hair, Dozer will begin to warm up to her. Right now it is a bit of a love-hate relationship. It is hard to watch sometimes because she truly does love him very much. When she wakes up the first thing she does is ask for Dozer and wants to pet him. Dozer is getting better with her but still seems impatient. I am hoping time will bring them closer.
We also are singing lots of songs with Dozer in them such as:
"There was an Alex who had a dog and Dozer was his name-o" =)

Tournament time with Grandpa

Last weekend we spent time watching Grandpa Bakken's team in their district tournament. He coaches the Lady Rebels in Shields Valley, MT. He had this shirt made for her to wear during these special games. She was very entertaining and loved to look at the mascots but definitely did not want to get too close. Grandpa's team even made it to divisionals, but lost after 2 games. Grandpa is pretty excited that her favorite word right now is "ball" and seems to especially like basketballs.

Alex did not want leave!

Alex went to the Carousel today in Helena with her Mom's friend Terri and her daughter Emmalin. It was great to have such wonderful company while we did some shopping as well.  Emmalin is 3 1/2 years old and was a great role model for her (and much better behaved than Alex).

Alex picked out this Mountain goat to take a ride on and she didn't even know it was her Mom's favorite animal! This was the last ride of the day and you can imagine how mad she was when we left.

Sledding with Mommy

s
This picture was taken over a week ago at Brylnee Bakken's 5th birthday party. We went sledding and had a blast. I might have had just as much fun as Alex. I can't wait to take her again.

Snowmobiling with Daddy

This past weekend Daddy brought his snowmobile sledding for Brynlee Bakken's birthday party. We all went to North Fork to sled, have a cookout, and enjoy the nice day. Alex enjoyed the snowmobile and was not scared of the noise. Of course she didnt go very far or fast just like on the four-wheeler, but there was still plenty of fun to go around!

Valentine's day party!

Alexandra is lucky enough to attend some classroom parties. Grandma stopped by with Alex to see what my class was up to for Valentine's Day. She brought me flowers and a card from her and Dad. She ate some treats, watched the big kids play a game. was held by several girls, and even tried to sneak in some treats from a student's desk. It was a fun day for all!

I figured out your camera Mom

This is one interesting picture. Alex is going to be a tech-saavy little girl. She loves to play with my phone when she gets her hands on it. She knows how the touch screen can turn things on. She picked it up while I was getting a drink and it was already on the camera setting. She snapped this lovely shot of herself and I about died laughing.
